DETROIT (Tell Us Det) Already, Movement Detroit 2012 has surpassed all expectations. From the Main stage, to Beatport, Made In Detroit to the Red Bull Music Academy Stage, artists on day one included Lil’ Louis, Derrick Carter, Seth B2B Guy Gerber, David Squillace, Mike Huckaby, Kyle Hall B2B Jay Daniel, Roni Size, SBTRKT, Michael Mayer, and Matias Aguayo all had the crowed on their feet each set.

Ice T will serve as special guest emcee on the festival’s main stage this evening- introducing Loco Dice, a hip hop DJ and headliner Public Enemy. Both Ice T and his wife Nicole “Coco” Austin will also party, mix and mingle with the guests inside the festival’s VIP area.

Ice T today is a star on the hit show “Law and Order SUV” and co-stars with his wife on the widely popular reality series “Ice Loves Coco” on E! He recently made his directional debut with the documentary “Something from Nothing the Art of Rap,” which features more than 50 emcees including Kool Keith, Eminen, Kanye West, Ice Cube, Snoop Dog, and Melle Melle. The documentary was a major success at the Sundance Film Festival premiere and is set for theatre release in June 2012.
